Chapter Seven.

Heaven or Hell?

In the first chapter I talked about what happens when we die. I’ve also talked about Karma and the ownership of our actions – good and bad – while we are alive on Earth. So where will you eventually go, Heaven or Hell?

Let’s talk about the structure of the afterlife and how Heaven operates.

Horace wants to intercede here.

‘Good morning again, Kevin. We are a busy bee today, ha-ha.

You wanted to write about what happens to people when they return to Spirit, vis-à-vis Heaven for the good and Hell for the bad. Well, as you know, we review your life in the Hall of Mirrors and decide together where best you might reside for your progress in the World of Spirit. We know that mankind wants murderers and despots to be vilified, but we cannot operate like a warder in a prison here. Things are very different here from on Mother Earth. We train our souls and ask them to educate themselves, all the time encouraging and mentoring our charges. That is what you will become too. A charge under the tutelage of a wiser, more experienced soul than you Kevin. I will be your mentor. Not many people get the opportunity to find out who will look after them when they pass over to Spirit. You are privileged, but in future all people will get to know their mentors while on the Earth plane. This is something we in Spirit are working towards.

As for the good souls, what happens to them? Well, you won’t be surprised to learn that all their dreams can come true, just like in the best films. You can visualise and create anything you wish, so if – like you – you always dreamed of a jetty by a millpond lake; that is yours to have. Not many souls choose riches, as they are of no importance here in Spirit, but some, who lacked desperately during their lives on Earth, choose to ‘taste’ riches for a short while and that is their prerogative.

Now for the bad guys. As we previously mentioned, some who refuse to accept their wrongs are literally left alone in the far-distant cold blankness of the Universe. That is the worst that happens, and it is a desperately lonely existence. It is not a life, just a poor and wearisome existence. Those who accept their fallen ways go to school. Yes, school. It is a place where peace and tranquillity reigns, but it does not have the freedoms associated with someone who had a good life. There are penalties. Yes. Penalties for not learning, and periods of aloneness that go with this temperate form of punishment. Punishment is not a good word but it suits the hearing of mankind at this point in their evolution. You do not forgive well enough at this point in time to fully appreciate the ways of Spirit. That may take decades, but your learning will improve, too. And that is, for this moment, all we have to say on this matter.
